Exploring Global Melodies: Spring Nasheed Semester

Alhamdulilah our Nasheed Semester long workshops have been absolutely our favorite part of Ilham and just an overall success. We have been working closely with our instructor Olga Bojavic which has been a dream. She is skilled and professional and has been able to help elevate Islamic Nasheed to an entirely different level.

Our Islamic traditions and cultures are vast and wide because of the many people’s that are a part of our faith. This semester we will be exploring some of the many of melodies across the Islamic world that sing in praise of our most beloved (PBUH).

Vocal training is not just for singing. It also elevates your Quranic recitation so that you may beautify that very important part of our faith as well. Vocal training is FOR EVERYONE. It really helps you grow the muscles and vocal chords. Much like physical training, vocal training needs work and effort. True there are some natural talents, but everyone has a voice and has those same muscles – they just may have not been attended to carefully and need a bit of work to help elevate the sounds you make.
